LOOK Musical Theatre to Host Annual STARS Party at Southern Hills
May 9, 2012 – Tulsa, OK – LOOK will host its annual party with the 2012 performers on Sunday, June 3rd at Southern Hills Country Club (2636 E 61st St). Cocktails will be served at 6:30 p.m. and a will be served at 7:30 p.m. delicious three course dinner a entertainment will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $250 per person and can be purchased by calling LOOK at 918-583-4267. For $500 or higher, an invitation to the STARS patron party is included. The patron party will be a private party held in the home of Katie and Ron Petrikin on May 31 at 7:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy a special evening with the 2012 LOOK Musical Theatre company and enjoy complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres.
The LOOK 2012 performances will include GYPSY – A Musical Fable; the classic musical comedy, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum; and the hilarious Broadway hit AVENUE Q – The Musical. Shows run at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center as part of the SummerStage festival from June 15 through July 8. All proceeds from STARS Party will benefit the 2012 season productions.
Founded in 1983, LOOK Musical Theatre is a non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve and promote the musical theatre style genre, to the end that current and future audiences, performers, and production members gain an enhanced understanding of the role of musical theatre within a variety of cultural contexts. Each summer, the LOOK Musical Theatre Festival is produced by over 90 employees, including student apprentices, professional performers, and technical staff members from all over the country. Orchestral forces are drawn from the Tulsa Symphony. LOOK is a member of the Arts and Humanities Council of Tulsa.
